Better Burning Mod
Better Burning Mod (1.20.4, 1.19.4) is a modification for Minecraft that makes changes to the game’s burning and fire mechanics in order to improve the game’s immersion and overall balance. The configuration file gives users the ability to disable any of these features on an individual basis. There is a chance that the Skeleton will shoot fire arrows when it is being consumed by flames. Flaming arrows will deal some amount of burning damage to you if they hit you. Because of this feature, the player’s burn timer will be reset if they are drinking a potion that increases their resistance to fire. This resolves an irksome bug in which the burn timer would increase even if you were currently using a potion that increased your fire resistance. Swimming through lava, for instance, will still cause your burn timer to grow, regardless of the effect of the potion; as a result, the fire animation will continue to play for a considerable amount of time after you leave the lava. When a creature that is already on fire assaults another creature with its bare hands, there is a remote possibility that the creature that is being attacked will also become engulfed in flames. This feature is based on a vanilla mechanic that allows zombies that attack without an item to spread fire to the targets of their attacks.
