Blue Ice Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft blue ice with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, there are two ways to add blue ice to your inventory. You can either craft this item with a crafting table or you can find and gather this item in the game. Gathering blue ice is a bit tricky because you need to mine it with a tool that is enchanted with Silk Touch.

How to craft Blue Ice using a Crafting Table in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3×3 crafting grid that looks like this:

Blue Ice - Wiki Guide 7

2. Add Items to make Blue Ice

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make blue ice, place 9 packed ice in the 3×3 crafting grid.

When making blue ice, it is important that the packed ice are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 3 packed ice. In the second row, there should be 3 packed ice. In the third row, there should be 3 packed ice. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for blue ice.

Blue Ice - Wiki Guide 8

Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, blue ice will appear in the box to the right.

How to gather Blue Ice in Survival Mode

You can add blue ice to your inventory in Survival mode by mining blue ice with a tool that has been enchanted with Silk Touch. So let’s get started!

1. Find a Block of Blue Ice

First, you need to find a block of blue ice in your Minecraft world. Blue ice is usually found in the Frozen Ocean or Deep Frozen Ocean biomes.
