Ducky Mod

Ducky Mod 1.16.1, 1.15.1 adds new ducks: Ducky, Tamed Ducky and Giant Tamed Ducky to Minecraft. Tired of being attacked while you are mining? Scared of exploring at night or in caves? Not anymore! The Black Duck Ducky is here to protect you.

This mod gives you a tiny winged protector that can follow you around and battle mobs while you mine. Gone are the days of worrying about zombies or creepers interrupting your digs. Just craft a Ducky egg and worry not. While the duck fresh out of the egg can suffice, this duck will help you more if you tame it with a bit of bread. It’ll change its appearance wearing blue and that’s how you know it’s tamed. And from there it’ll follow you around and seek out enemies nearby.

What makes this mod really neat is this duck can change if you give it certain potions. You can make a giant ducky with a healing potion. This gives it more health and an overall more threatening appearance since it’s basically as tall as you. And if you want you can easily revert it with a weakness potion.

Features:

Ducky:

  • Ducky is a neutral mob that can be allied with the player.
  • They are neutral towards the player.
  • Attacks hostile and neutral mobs without provocation.
  • Ducky can be tamed by feeding it bread. Once tamed, Ducky is replaced with a Tamed Ducky.

Tamed Ducky:

  • Tamed Ducky is a companion for the player that is created by feeding bread to Ducky.

Feeding:

  • Tamed Duckies can be healed by feeding them bread; this restores as much of the Tamed Ducky’s health as the same food restores hunger points when eaten by the player. Healing Tamed Ducky triggers the love animation. If Tamed Ducky is at full health, you cannot feed the ducky more bread.

Targeting:

  • Attacks hostile and neutral mobs without provocation.
  • Attacks entities that attack their owner.
  • Attacks entities that have been attacked by their owner.

Movement:

  • Tamed Ducky can be told to sit by pressing use on them, and made to stand by pressing use.
  • While sitting:
    • Does not follow the player.
    • If their owner is attacked, continues sitting.
    • Stops sitting if attacked or hurt.

Teleportation:

  • Teleports to their owner if they are 24 blocks away.
  • Will not teleport when:
    • Sitting.
    • In an unloaded chunk.
    • None of the blocks on the edge of a 5x5x1 region centered on the player are transparent blocks with a solid block below and a transparent block above.
    • The player is in another dimension; a Tamed Ducky remains in its current dimension until the player returns.
  • However, Tamed Ducky can be transported to another dimension by pushing them into the portal.

Potion Abilities:

  • Feeding certain Potions to Ducky will give Ducky certain abilities.
  • Feeding Ducky Milk will reset it to the default Ducky, removing all abilities.
