1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3×3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make Dyed Leather Pants

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make dyed leather pants, place 1 leather pants and 1 dye of your choice in the 3×3 crafting grid. In this example, we have chosen to use red dye as the dye.

When making dyed leather pants, the leather pants and dye can be placed anywhere in the crafting grid. In this example, we have placed the items in the second row where the leather pants are in the second box and the red dye is in the third box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for dyed leather pants.

Durability

Durability represents how long the item will last. For tools, weapons and transportation, durability is the number of useful actions before the item is destroyed. For armor items, durability is the number of hits (that can be blocked by armor) before the item is destroyed. So the higher the durability number, the longer the item will last.

The following table shows the durability for each pair of leggings/pants in Minecraft:

Name Durability
Netherite Leggings 555
Diamond Leggings 495
Chain Leggings 225
Iron Leggings 225
Golden Leggings 105
Dyed Leather Pants 75
