Gun Expansion Mod

Gun Expansion Mod (1.19.4, 1.18.2) adds new guns in the style of the base CGM guns. These include pistols, submachine guns, rifles, and shotguns. These weapons are designed and modeled to fit in with the weapons from the Gun Mod, while maintaining key details that help define each weapon.

Gun Expansion Mod (1.19.4, 1.18.2) - New Guns in The Style of CGM Guns 1

Features:

  • Over 10 new weapons to use. By default, these weapons are balanced to fit in with the default CGM weapons.
  • One ammo item: the Medium Bullet, used by some of the rifles in this addon.
  • An assortment of attachments, including barrels, stocks, sights, and one grip.
  • Crafting recipes for all items, allowing them to be used in survival mode.

Pistols:

  • A tried-and-true classic, the six-shooter Revolver trades the versatility of the Pistol for more power. It has a lower fire rate but better damage per shot, and is slightly more accurate. These characteristics reward players with steady aim and a disciplined trigger finger.

Micro SMG:

  • Ammo Type: Basic Bullets | Capacity: 32 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock
  • The Micro SMG is basically “spray-and-pray” in a box. This tiny automatic machine pistol spits bullets with a very high rate of fire but mediocre accuracy. While ill-suited to long-range gunfights, in close quarters the Micro SMG can chew through the competition almost as fast as it chews through ammunition.
  • In early versions of NZGE, this gun was called the “Uzi”, and this is reflected in the item ID in all 1.19.2 versions of NZGE.

Submachine Gun:

  • Ammo Type: Basic Bullets | Capacity: 30 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • The Machine Pistol’s bigger brother. An automatic carbine chambered in low-caliber Basic Bullets, the Submachine Gun is a versatile weapon, balancing a high rate of fire with controllability. It can take all four types of attachments for maximum adaptability.

Rapid SMG:

  • Ammo Type: Basic Bullets | Capacity: 40 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • This Submachine Gun is much like the Micro SMG–only it’s fully grown into a specialist-grade CQC weapon. This SMG fires very fast with otherwise unremarkable damage, but the first shot is always perfectly accurate. Accuracy drops off quickly from sustained fire, so fire in short, controlled bursts if exchanging fire at long range.
    Shotguns

Pump Shotgun:

  • Ammo Type: Shells | Capacity: 8 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • A fairly basic pump-action shotgun, much like the stock CGM Shotgun. It has a low rate of fire and high damage per shot.
  • This gun uses the original Shotgun model from CGM Audio/Visual Enhancements, prior to the v1.3.0 update.

Hunting Shotgun:

  • Ammo Type: Shells | Capacity: 4 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope
  • A long-barreled pump-action shotgun, with an even lower rate of fire but greater damage per shot, as well as lower spread. This shotgun was designed with hunting big game, hence its focus on damage. It is a ‘vintage-style’ weapon that supplements some of its iron cost with wooden planks.

Double Barreled Shotgun:

  • Ammo Type: Shells | Capacity: 2 | Attachments: Scope
  • The classic broomstick. Its single-shot damage is quite lackluster, as is its accuracy, but its ability to fire two deadly scattershots in quick succession makes it stand out. Use this when you need to get up close and personal–or when you need to get someone off your lawn.
  • This gun is a ‘vintage-style’ weapon that supplements some of its iron cost with wooden planks.

Automatic Shotgun:

  • Ammo Type: Shells | Capacity: 14 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • The big brother among shotguns is a fully automatic beast, delivering sustained volleys of fire downrange at a fairly quick rate. Its damage per shot is low, but this is offset by its fire rate. All that firepower also means high recoil, making it unwieldy without the use of a shoulder stock.

Heavy Assault Rifle:

  • Ammo Type: Medium Bullets | Capacity: 30 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • The Heavy AR is a bulk, unwieldy, and downright wild automatic rifle. But don’t be fooled by its heavy recoil or fast accuracy dropoff from automatic fire–this beast is tameable. Above-average damage output (countering its reduced rate of fire) and a reasonable ammo capacity give the Heavy AR an edge over lighter, faster-firing weapons. When contesting targets at medium range, consider firing single shots or short bursts to maintain accuracy.
  • This gun is a ‘vintage-style’ weapon that supplements some of its iron cost with wooden planks.

Battle Rifle:

  • Ammo Type: Medium Bullets | Capacity: 20 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • The bigger brother of the Assault Rifle. This long-barreled automatic rifle specializes in power and accuracy, with high damage and mild accuracy dropoff. It performs excellently at medium and even long ranges, but struggles in close quarters due to its lower ammo capacity and fire rate.

Machine Gun:

  • Ammo Type: Medium Bullets | Capacity: 30 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Underbarrel
  • The Machine Gun (considered a rifle for the sake of simplicity) is what you get when you mix the attributes of the Assault Rifle and Minigun together. Bulky, brutish, and boisterous, this beast chews through ammunition to unleash a hail of suppressive fire downrange. While it lacks in accuracy and is quite expensive, the Machine Gun’s rate of fire gives it a commanding presence on the battlefield.

Infantry Rifle:

  • Ammo Type: Medium Bullets | Capacity: 14 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Underbarrel
  • This vintage-style semi-automatic rifle is a jack-of-all-trades. Moderately but not overwhelmingly powerful, a fire rate better than higher-powered rifles but not as fast as the automatics, an acceptable ammo capacity, and excellent accuracy–the Infantry Rifle is a versatile choice of weapon for engaging targets from extended ranges.
  • This gun is a ‘vintage-style’ weapon that supplements some of its iron cost with wooden planks.

Automatic Sniper Rifle:

  • Ammo Type: Medium Bullets | Capacity: 16 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Underbarrel
  • The Automatic Sniper Rifle is a souped-up self-loading rifle that serves as a versatile sniper-class weapon. As its name would suggest, this rifle is capable of automatic fire, albeit at a significantly slower fire rate than the other automatic rifles. While not as powerful as other sniper rifles, the “Auto Sniper” chambers the lighter and cheaper Medium Bullet, which enables its fast fire rate and gives it a comparatively high ammo capacity.

Hunting Rifle:

  • Ammo Type: Advanced Bullets | Capacity: 1 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Underbarrel
  • A vintage, single-shot breechloading rifle. Don’t let the ‘vintage’ nomenclature fool you–this longnecked rifle was designed to fell the biggest and baddest creatures out there, and do so with exceptional accuracy. Since it can only hold 1 shot at a time, there’s a lengthy delay between shots, so make each one count.
  • This gun is a ‘vintage-style’ weapon that supplements some of its iron cost with wooden planks.
  • The Hunting Rifle used the same model as the recently added Bolt Action Rifle, as well as different sounds and stats.

Bolt Action Rifle:

  • Ammo Type: Medium Bullets | Capacity: 4 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope
  • The Bolt Action Rifle is a mechanically simple rifle, loading from a sliding chamber attached to a rotating bolt handle. It hits quite hard with practically pinpoint accuracy, and has a decent (but still slow) rate of fire. The main selling point of this rifle is that it chambers the cheaper Medium Bullet as its ammunition, saving you extra resources when crafting spare bullets for it.
  • This gun is a ‘vintage-style’ weapon that supplements some of its iron cost with wooden planks.
  • The Bolt Action Rifle uses the same model used by the Hunting Rifle prior to the v1.3.0 updated.

Sniper Rifle

  • Ammo Type: Advanced Bullets | Capacity: 6 | Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Underbarrel
  • A fully-matured, militarized bolt-action rifle design, optimized for pinpoint accuracy and delivering excellent single-shot damage by firing higher-caliber ammunition. The Sniper Rifle strikes a balance between fire rate and raw power–fitting right between the semi-automatic Rifle from CGM and the breechloading Hunting Rifle in performance.
