History Of Technology Mod

History of Technology Mod 1.12.2 takes you through time from the dawn of civilization and into the future. There is a lot in this mod already but there is even more to come! It adds lots of new textures, bug fixes, force field generator, missile guidance system, The book of technologies, Terni Lapilli, coffee plant, circuit, missile launcher, guided missile launcher, forge, copper pipes, faucet, and the silk sheet. In short, this mod takes you from the creation of fire to the far future of technology!

History of Technology Mod 1.12.2 (Massive Epic Weapons) 1

Features:

Ancient Era:

  • Book of Technology:  Gives information on everything in the mod including how to craft everything.  If you wish to obtain this in survival, first find the temple.
  • Spear: A primitive weapon that can be thrown but consumed if it hits an entity.
  • Mace:  This is a strong weapon that is used like a sword but it is destroyed easily.  There is a stone and iron variant of this weapon.
  • Wheel:  Currently has no use but will later be used to craft things.
  • Rock:  Used for the catapult.
  • Tin:  Found at layers 60 and lower.  Will later be used to craft things.
  • Copper:  Found at layers 60 and lower.  Will later be used to craft things.
  • Bronze:  Created by mixing tin and copper in the forge.  Will later be used to craft things.
  • Forge:  Allows you to mix metals to form new ones.

Classical Era:

  • Hose:  Used to put out fires.
  • Water Tank:  Must be worn for the hose to work.
  • Terni Lapilli:  An ancient roman game similar to tic-tac-toe.
  • Copper Pipes:  Allows you to transport water sources across great distances.
  • Faucet:  Allows you to get water out of the copper pipes.

Medieval Era:

  • Bullet:  Used for some weapons in the game.
  • Flintlock Pistol: The most basic gun in the game.
  • Saltpetre:  Found at layers 50 and lower.  Used to make gunpowder.
  • Silk:  Dropped from silk worms.
  • Silk Sheet:  Used to make some things like the parachute.

Renaissance Era:

  • Coffee Bean:  Obtained by trading with the farmer villager.  It can be planted to make more coffee.
  • Roasted Coffee Bean:  The cooked form of the coffee bean.  It can be used to make coffee.
  • Coffee: Gives the player speed and haste for 4 minutes.  The player is not able to sleep if they are hyper on coffee.
  • Parachute:  Slows the player’s fall so they will take no damage from any height that they fall.
  • Scuba Gear:  Gives the player water breathing and speed when under water.

Industrial Era:

  • Battery:  Used to power some items like the flashlight.
  • Flashlight:  Lights the area around you when you right click to turn it on.  Eventually it will run out of batteries and you will need to recharge it.
  • Conveyor Belt:  Moves entities that are standing on top of it.  Does not work unless it is powered.
  • Land Mine:  Explodes when an entity stand on it.
  • Aluminum:  Found at layer 40 and below.
  • Latex:  Made from flowers and gunpowder.  Used to make rubber when cooked.
  • Rubber:  Used to craft the hazmat suit and some other stuff.
  • Bullet Proof Vest:  Makes you bullet proof.
  • Flamethrower:  Shoots fire that can catch blocks and entities on fire.
  • Flamethrower Tank: Must be worn to operate the flamethrower.
  • Oil:  A liquid that can catch on fire and burn for a long time.  It will later be used as fuel for vehicles.
  • Gatling Gun:  A rapid fire and inaccurate gun.
  • Mustard Gas:  An item that you can throw and create a wave of mustard gas where it lands.
  • Grenade:  It will create an explosion 5 seconds after you throw it.
  • Penicillin:  When put in a syringe it can cure you from some illnesses.
  • Syringe:  There are multiple variants of the syringe that do different things.

Atomic Era:

  • Hazmat Suit:  Must be worn if you are holding uranium or are near it to.
  • Uranium:  Found in layers 20 and below.
  • Nuclear Bombs:  Fission and Fusion bombs create huge explosions after activated by redstone.
  • Nuclear Missiles:  Can be launched from the missile guidance system.  (Nuclear Weapons can cause a lot of lag and possibly crash your computer if you don’t have much RAM.)
  • Contact Grenade:  Acts like the normal grenade except it explodes when it hits the ground.
  • Circuit:  Used to make some electronic devices.
  • Missile Launcher:  Launches missiles in a straight line.
  • Missile:  Missiles are slightly more explosive than TNT, and they can be launched in various ways.
  • Missile Guidance System:  A complex piece of machinery that allows you to launch missiles onto exact coordinates.  You can fire regular missiles or nuclear missiles.

Modern Era:

  • Threat Grenade:  When it explodes it makes all nearby entities glow for a short time.
  • Variable Grenade:  Can be turned into any other grenade by pressing the ‘Item 1’ button.  Right click to throw.
  • Guided Missile Launcher:  Launches a missile forward, but it will track down an entity if it gets within 10 blocks of one.

Future Era:

  • Magnet Gun:  When the right button is held down it will pull you forward if you are looking at a block containing iron.
  • Wunderwaffe:  Shoots Lightning when you right click that does a lot of damage to entities.
  • Energy Bullet:  Used as ammo for the Wunderwaffe.
  • Exo-Suit:  Allows the player to double jump and quickly move to the sides.  You must wear the chestplate and leggings for it to work.
  • Exo-Hover:  Boots that allow you to hover when you are in the air and hold the ‘Ctrl’ key.
  • Rocket Boots:  Allows you to fly.  You must be wearing the flamethrower tank for the rocket boots to work.  The boots shoot fire out the bottom which can catch stuff on fire.  You will take no fall damage while wearing these boots.
  • Gravity Gun:  Hold the right mouse button while looking at an entity to grab it.  While the entity is grabbed press the ‘Item 1’ key to throw the entity.
  • Tac-19:  Shoots a blast of energy that damages and pushes entities backward.  It is like an advanced shotgun.
  • IMR:  A four round burst gun that 3-D prints ammo over time.
  • Advanced Bullet:  A bullet that is used for some advanced guns.
  • Black Hole:  Currently very experimental – use with caution.  It might be taken out of the mod later.
  • Force Field Generator:  Generates a semi-permeable shield in the shape of a sphere.  The size of the shield is based on the strength of the redstone input.  The shield size also increases when a diamond block is placed next to it.

Mobs:

  • Silkworm:  When killed gives Silk.  They randomly breed when on top of leaves.  They do not need the player to breed.

Diseases:

Note on all diseases:  The player and animals can get a disease at any point in the game.  Some diseases are more common and being in certain biomes makes certain diseases more common.  A shot of penicillin is effective at treating most diseases.  Some diseases can be spread to other players and other animals, and you can also catch those diseases from infected animals.  Diseases will randomly ccausedifferent effects like slowness, weakness, damage, and sometimes even instant death.  All diseases will eventually go away, but it is best to treat them as soon as possible because the negative effects increase the longer you have the disease.

Tuberculosis:

  • Symptoms: Hunger, pain, slowness, and slowed attack speed.
  • Cures:  Penicillin Shot
  • Will never cause death unless you are already at low health.  Will go away naturally after about an hour.  Can spread to other creatures.

The Black Plague:

  • Symptoms: Hunger, pain, armor reduction, slowed attack speed, nausea, and poison.
  • Cures:  Penicillin Shot
  • The plague can kill its host.  Will go away naturally after about 45 minutes.  Can spread to other creatures.

Cancer:

  • Symptoms: Hunger, pain, slowness, armor reduction, slowed attack speed, reduced knock-back resistance, nausea, and poison.
  • Cures:  Currently no cure
  • Cancer can kill its host.  Will go away naturally after about 1.5 hours.  Cannot spread to other creatures.

HIV:

  • Symptoms:  Fatigue, pain, reduced luck, armor reduction, slowed attack speed, reduced knock-back resistance, nausea, and poison.
  • Cures:  Currently no cure
  • HIV can kill its host.  Will go away naturally after about 1.5 hours.  Can spread to other creatures through blood transfusions.

Radiation:

  • Symptoms:  Pain, armor reduction, slowed attack speed, reduced knock-back resistance, nausea, and poison.
  • Cures:  Time
  • Entities can get radiation poisoning by holding uranium or simply by standing near uranium.  Wearing a rubber suit will prevent all radiation poisoning.  Radiation doesn’t last very long, but it can cause cancer to form.
