Minecraft 1.8.9 Official Download is an update to Minecraft (Java Edition) that was released on December 9, 2015. Minecraft 1.8.9 is compatible with servers running 1.8 – 1.8.8. Please make sure that you are in the correct server mode (online mode/offline mode) when you start the 1.8.9 server for the first time, because profiles are not compatible between these two server modes.

- To install the Official Release, open up the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the “Launch Options” tab.
- Official Release can corrupt your world, please backup and/or run them in a different folder from your main worlds.
