Orange Bed Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft an orange bed with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, an orange bed is a new color of bed introduced in the game. You can sleep in an orange bed at night to avoid mobs spawning and attacking you. Also once you’ve slept in this type of bed, it resets your spawn point. There is more than one way to craft an orange bed.

How to craft an Orange Bed in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3×3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make an Orange Bed

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make an orange bed, you will need to place specific items in the grid. It is important that the items are placed in the exact pattern as our example images. Changing the pattern of boxes that are filled will change the item that is crafted.

There are 2 patterns you can use as a crafting recipe for an orange bed:

Pattern 1

There should be 3 orange wool in the first row and 3 wood planks in the second row.

Pattern 2

In the first row, there should be 1 white bed in the first box and 1 orange dye in the second box.

TIP: When crafting an orange bed with wood planks, you can use any kind of wood planks, such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, crimson, or warped planks. In our example, we are using oak planks.

Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the orange bed will appear in the box to the right.
