You Shall Not Spawn Mod
There are certain situations where you may want to prevent specific mobs from spawning. Maybe your terrain keeps on getting griefed by creepers, but you can’t stop creepers from spawning without turning off the entire monster spawning system in-game by switching into easy mode. This may cause other inconveniences. But do not worry, as the solution is here – You Shall Not Spawn! Mod (1.20.2, 1.19.4) lets you prevent any specific mob(s) of your choice from spawning, just by editing a list given inside the .json file.

This feature allows players to tailor their Minecraft experience by preventing the appearance of specific creatures, whether they are hostile, passive, or other mobs.
- Comprehensive Entity Removal: Once a mob is added to the blacklist, it becomes impossible for them to spawn through any method, including natural spawning or player-triggered actions like using eggs or commands. This comprehensive approach ensures that undesired entities are effectively removed from your gameplay.
- Preventative Configuration: To maintain a clean and controlled in-game environment, it’s advisable to configure the mod before creating a new Minecraft world. Any mobs that have already spawned before the mod’s installation will continue to exist, allowing players the choice to either eliminate them or let them coexist with their chosen modifications.
- Configuration: Configuration is as simple as adding JSON entries for each entity you want to prevent from spawning. Entities can be from vanilla or any mod, you just have to add the id with the proper namespace, like minecraft:slime. It’s located inside the config folder, with the file “ysns.json”.
