Zoglin Mob Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains all about zoglins with screenshots and step-by-step instructions. The zoglin (which is a zombified hoglin) is a new type of undead mob that is created when you take a hoglin into the Overworld. Let’s learn about zoglins in Minecraft.

Hostility Level (Hostile)

A zoglin is a hostile mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and zoglins. Because a zoglin is a hostile mob, it will attack you in Survival mode but not Creative mode.

Health Points

In Minecraft, a zoglin has 20 hearts Zoglin Mob - Wiki Guide 4

for health. This gives a zoglin 40 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill a zoglin, you need to inflict 40 points of damage to the zoglin.

Where to Find Zoglins

In Minecraft, you can find hoglins in the Crimson Forest biome in the Nether.

Zoglin Mob - Wiki Guide 5

If you take a hoglin into the Overworld, the hoglin will begin to shake. After 300 game tickets (or 15 seconds), the hoglin will zombify and turn into a zoglin. When this transformation occurs, you will see purple particles appear around the zoglin for a few seconds and then disappear.

TIP: To make a zoglin, try to get a hoglin to follow you through a nether portal back to the Overworld.

If you haven’t been to the Nether, you need to build a nether portal to take you to the Nether and then back to the Overworld again. When you walk through a nether portal, it will transport you between the Overworld and the Nether dimensions.

This is what a nether portal looks like:

If you are having trouble finding a zoglin, you can summon a zoglin using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.

Weapon

A zoglin does not carry a weapon.

Attack Method

In Minecraft, a zoglin will move towards you and try to hit you with its head. When it makes contact, it will cause knockback and deal physical damage.

Drops

When you kill a zoglin in Minecraft, it will drop rotten flesh.

Make sure you pick up any dropped items before they disappear. They are useful and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.

Experience Points

As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.

These orbs represent experience points. When you kill a zoglin, you will gain 5 experience points.

Spawn Egg for Zoglin

You can spawn a zoglin using the following spawn egg:
